What is the primary focus of nutrition counseling?
The initial 75 minute session consists of nutritional assessment, diet education, meal planning and goal setting for optimal compliance. One or two follow-up sessions can help patients evaluate dietary changes and problem-solve concerns and barriers to compliance.
